O uso de tecnologias endodônticas em Odontopediatria: uma revisão integrativa da literatura

Resumo

Objetivo: Identificar as tecnologias utilizadas nas terapias pulpares de dentes decíduos e como elas otimizam o tratamento odontológico do paciente infantil. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa da literatura realizada através da busca nas bases de dados eletrônicas PubMed e Scielo. Utilizando os descritores “primary teeth”, “endodontic treatment”, “rotary instrumentation”, “apical locator”. Foram selecionados artigos de revisões sistemáticas e/ou ensaios clínicos randomizados, em inglês e português, publicados entre 2018 e 2023. Resultados: 14 estudos foram incluídos ao final da pesquisa. O sistema mecanizado mostrou um tratamento mais rápido, com menor índice de dor pós-operatória e uma limpeza mais eficiente dos canais radiculares. O uso do localizador apical otimizou o tempo de cadeira do paciente e trouxe mais conforto ao atendimento odontopediátrico. Conclusão: O uso do localizador apical e de instrumentos mecanizados na Endodontia de dentes decíduos, proporcionam uma diminuição no tempo de tratamento e uma maior comodidade para o paciente infantil.
