El uso de tecnologías endodónticas en Odontología Pediátrica: una revisión integradora de la literatura

Objetivo: Identificar las tecnologías utilizadas en la terapia pulpar de los dientes primarios y cómo optimizan el tratamiento dental en pacientes infantiles. Metodología: Revisión integradora de la literatura realizada mediante búsqueda en las bases de datos electrónicas PubMed y Scielo. utilizando los descriptores “dientes temporales”, “tratamiento de endodoncia”, “instrumentación rotatoria”, “localizador apical”. Se seleccionaron artículos de revisiones sistemáticas y/o ensayos clínicos aleatorizados, en inglés y portugués, publicados entre 2018 y 2023. Resultados: se incluyeron 14 estudios al final de la búsqueda. El sistema mecanizado mostró un tratamiento más rápido, con una menor tasa de dolor postoperatorio y una limpieza más eficiente de los conductos radiculares. El uso del localizador de ápice optimizó el tiempo de sillón del paciente y aportó más comodidad al cuidado odontológico pediátrico. Conclusión: El uso del localizador de ápices e instrumentos mecanizados en Endodoncia de dientes temporales proporciona una reducción del tiempo de tratamiento y mayor comodidad para el paciente infantil.
