Objective: To evaluate the tensile strength of orthodontic buttons glued with high-power LED, with different light-curing times. Methods: Bovine incisors were divided into 3 groups, the buttons were bonded with self-etching adhesive and high-power LED at times of 1s, 2s and 3s. Tensile strength test was carried out. Statistical analysis was performed with variance, with p<0.05. For the adhesive remnant index (ARI), we applied the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: Groups 1s and 2s presented lower tensile strength than group 3s, but did not differ statistically from each other. Regarding IRA, there was no statistical difference. Conclusion: All photopolymerization times with high-power LED showed tensile strength compatible with clinical use, where 3s showed greater resistance.
