Abstract

Overall objective: to know the risk factors for the occurrence of premature rupture of membranes. Specific: to characterize women with ruptured membranes in age, education, marital status, place of residence and profession; Checking the most frequent cases of gestational age in premature rupture of membranes; Identify prenatal data regarding the number of queries. It is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach with women who had ruptured membranes Premature and hospitalized in the period from September to October 2014 in the Evangelina Rosa Maternity Hospital. Results: predominant age group of women aged 18 to 30 years, 41% had incomplete or complete high school with, 46% had stable union with, 45.5% worked in several departments, and residents of the city of Teresina were 50%. The predominant number of women who have less than 6 prenatal consultations with 63.3%. Related gestational age, 64% had between 23 RPM to 37 weeks. Risk factors related to premature rupture of membranes, it was observed that 47% had urinary infection, 31% had anemia, and 16% had hypertensive disorders. Therefore it is concluded that the risk f actors Premature Aminiorrexe could have been avoided by performing a pre-natal quality.
