Objective: To identify and synthesize results on the effectiveness of Platelet-Rich Plasma in the treatment of pressure injuries compared to other topical therapies. Methodology: integrative literature review carried out in electronic databases: Google Scholar; PubMed; VHL; LILACS, in addition to Medline databases and other types of information sources. Results: 10 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected for detailed analysis. PRP presents positive results in the treatment of pressure injuries, accelerates wound healing and reduces the rate of infection, in addition to being easy to apply, it reduces expenses when compared to conventional treatments. Conclusions: PRP can be used to treat pressure injuries, as the costs of obtaining and applying the technique are considerably lower when compared to conventional techniques, and it reduces patients' time in the hospital.References
