Tendencias globales de la investigación sobre la hipomineralización de los segundos molares deciduos: un análisis bibliométrico

Resumen

Objetivo: identificar y analizar las características bibliométricas de los artículos publicados em Hipomineralización de los Segundos Molares Deciduos (HSMD). Metodología: la investigación bibliográfica se llevó a cabo en la base de datos Web of Science - "Core Collection" por dos investigadores. Se incluyeron todos los artículos que evaluaron la HSMD. De los estudios se extrajeron los siguientes datos: título, número y densidad de citas, revista, factor de impacto, año de publicación, autores, institución del autor de correspondencia, país, continente, estado de acceso al artículo, diseño del estudio, tema, índice de diagnóstico de HSMD, palabras clave y edad de los participantes. Para el análisis de datos y la creación de redes bibliométricas se utilizó el software VOSviewer. La regresión de Poisson evaluó la asociación entre el número y la densidad de citas y los datos bibliométricos (p<0,05). Resultados: Se incluyeron un total de 70 estudios, con un total de 1078 citas. Dos artículos alcanzaron más de 100 citas. El pico de publicaciones fue en 2021 (n=17;24,3%). Brasil fue el país que más publicó sobre el tema (n=16;22,9%). La mayoría de los estudios tuvieron un diseño transversal (n=37;52,9%) y la prevalencia fue el tema más abordado (n=34;62%). Manton DJ (n=13;18,6%), University of Melbourne (n=8; 11,4%) y European Archives of Pediatric Dentistry (n=13;18,6%) fueron los autores, instituciones y revistas con mayor número de publicaciones. Conclusión: La mayoría de los estudios publicados sobre HSMD tuvieron un diseño transversal, siendo la prevalencia el tema más investigado. Brasil desempeñó un papel importante en las publicaciones sobre el tema. Las redes de colaboración son escasas.
