El tiempo frente a la pantalla y sus impactos en la salud mental de niños y adolescentes en edad preescolar: una revisión integradora

Resumen

RESUMEN: Objetivo: identificar los impactos que provoca el uso de pantallas y medios de comunicación en la salud mental de niños y adolescentes preescolares. Metodología: El estudio se realizó a través de una revisión integradora basada en literatura reciente, la investigación se realizó de octubre a noviembre de 2023, utilizando las bases de investigación PUBMED, BVS, SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE y EMBASE, en las cuales se publicaron artículos completos. en los últimos cinco años (2018 a 2023) fueron seleccionados. Resultados: Se encontraron 1.627 artículos validados en las bases de datos y se seleccionaron 12 artículos para el estudio, donde efectivamente se encontró evidencia de que el uso de pantallas provoca diversos problemas de salud mental. Conclusión: El análisis detallado reveló un vínculo claro entre el tiempo frente a una pantalla y los síntomas psicosociales en niños y adolescentes, incluidos los trastornos del sueño que desencadenan problemas psicológicos.
